Rahi

After leaving British Army Ramesh joins a tea plantation as a supervisor, where he is required to harass Indians. Gradually his heart changes and falls in love with local girl and revolts against his British employer. Rahi is a 1953 Indian Hindi-language Drama film featuring Dev Anand, Nalini Jaywant, Balraj Sahni, Manmohan Krishna, David Abraham, Rashid Khan and Habib Tanvir. The movie is based on Mulk Raj Anand. Naya Sansar was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Khwaja Ahmad Abbas and K. A. Abbas. The motion picture is written and directed by Khwaja Ahmad Abbas and K. A. Abbas. Naya Sansar acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Rahi was released on 27th September 1956 and takes a screen time of 139 minutes. The screenplay for the movie was written by K. A. Abbas, Mohsin Abdullah and V. P. Sathe.
