Raagam

The story follows Swarnalata, a talented Carnatic singer, who experiences a tragic bus crash resulting in the death of her friend Vaishnavi and her own son, leaving her deeply affected and carrying the trauma for many years. Presently, Abhinay, Vaishnavis son, enters the picture with aspirations of becoming an artist, and while their paths interweave, Swarnalata fears he may blame her for his mothers death, leading them on individual journeys of rediscovering their passion for music and finding solace in their shared love for it, ultimately forming a bond that helps them overcome their past traumas and confront their inner demons. Raagam is a 2006 Indian telugu-language Drama movie featuring Sharada, Lakshmi, Sukumari, Adoor Bhasi and Jose Prakashmaster Natraj. Jammu Films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) N. P. Ali. Raagam is written by S. L. Puram Sadanandan and directed by Mahesh Dattani and A. Bhimsingh. Jammu Films acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Raagam was released on 3rd January 2006. Raagam was made on a budget of ₹2 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹0 lakh. The screenplay for the movie was written by S. L. Puram Sadanandan. Cinematography was done by Balu Mahendra and editing by A. Paul Dorai Singham. The music was composed by Salil Chowdhary.
