A high school students rivalry with a spoiled classmate turns into a murder mystery, with the help of his love interest, as they try to uncover the killer before the body is discovered. Pencil is a 2016 Indian Tamil-language Mystery Romance motion picture featuring G. V. Prakash Kumar, Sri Divya, Shariq Hassan Khan, G.v. Prakash Kumar, Shariq Hassan, Vtv Ganesh and Gv Prakash Kumar. Kalsan Movies Pvt Ltd was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) S. P. Ragavesh. The motion picture is written and directed by Mani Nagaraj. SVS Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film. Pencil was released on 13th May 2016 and takes a screen time of 134 minutes. Cinematography was done by Gopi Amarnath and editing by Anthony. The music was composed by Gv Prakash Kumar along with G. V. Prakash Kumar.
