A 21-year-old reformed gangster's devotion to his family and his future is put to the test when he is released from prison and returns to his old stomping grounds in Watts, Los Angeles. Imperial Dreams is a 2014 American English-language Drama motion picture starring John Boyega, Rotimi Akinosho, Keke Palmer, Glenn Plummer, De'aundre Bonds, Fat Dog and Gregory Mckenzie. Super Crispy Entertainment was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Jonathan Schwartz, Andrea Sperling and Katherine Fairfax Wright. Imperial Dreams is written by Ismet Prcic and Malik Vitthal and it is directed by Malik Vitthal. Netflix acquired the distribution rights for the film. Imperial Dreams was released on 1st October 2016 and takes a screen time of 90 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released. Cinematography was done by Monika Lenczewska and editing by Suzanne Spangler. The music was composed by Flying Lotus. At the 2014 Sundance Film Festival It won an award for Best of Next!.
