Happy Sardar

The movie Happy is about a Sardar and a Knanaya Christian girl from different cultures who fall in love and face challenges, highlighting themes of love, compromise, acceptance, family and community, and the importance of embracing diversity and being open-minded. Happy Sardar is a 2019 Indian Malayalam-language Comedy Romance movie featuring Kalidas Jayaram, Merin Philip, Javed Jaffrey, Rajesh Babu, Baiju, Sreenath Bhasi and Sithara Vijayan. Achicha Films in association with Desi Flicks. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Haseeb Haneef, Joshvin Joy and Shwetha Karthik. The film is written and directed by Sudip Joshy and Geethika Sudip. E4 Entertainment acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Happy Sardar was released on 28th November 2019 and takes a screen time of 153 minutes. Happy Sardar was made on a budget of ₹12 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹95 lakh. Cinematography was done by Abinandhan Ramanujam and editing by Shameer Muhammed. The music was composed by National Award winner Gopi Sundar along with Gopi Sunder.
