A normal, average guy who lives in New York City becomes dependent on an evil, disembodied brain. The brain feeds the guy a narcotic substance in exchange for his unwilling assistance in obtaining the brains of innocent victims for sustenance. This turns into a tour of circa-1980s underground NYC clubs, backlots, and other dy locations. One scene features the band Swimming Pool Cues playing the song Corruption. Written by Mark Logan Brain Damage is a 1988 American English-language Comedy Horror movie starring Rick Hearst, Jennifer Lowry, Gordon Macdonald, Theo Barnes, Lucille Saint-peter, Vicki Darnell and John Zacherle. The Brain Damage Company was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Edgar Ievins. The movie is directed by Frank Henenlotter. Palisades Entertainment acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Brain Damage was released on 22nd April 1988 and takes a screen time of 86 minutes. The screenplay for the movie was written by Frank Henenlotter. Cinematography was done by Bruce Torbet and editing by Frank Henenlotter and James Y. Kwei.
