Astitva

The film explores themes of male chauvinism, extramarital affairs, spousal abuse, and a womans struggles to find her identity outside of her marriage, as the truth about her past affair and son emerges, exposing the double standards of society and highlighting the role of patriarchal values in suppressing womens needs and desires. Astitva is a 2000 Indian Marathi-language Drama motion picture featuring Sachin Khedekar, Mohnish Bahl, Ravindra Mankani, Smita Jaykar, Sunil Barve, Namrata Shirodkar and Resham Tipnis. Swastik Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Jhamu Sughand and Rahul Sughand.
