A blind Kashmiri woman named Zooni falls in love with a tour guide named Rehan, who later reveals his involvement in a bomb blast and fakes his death, but returns years later seeking help from Zooni while tension arises due to his true identity, leading to confrontations and ultimately Zooni shooting Rehan to protect herself and their son. Fanaa is a 2006 Indian Hindi-language Drama Romance movie featuring Aamir Khan, Kajol Devgn, Rishi Kapoor, Tabu Hashmi, Kiron Kher, Lara Dutta and Shiva Kumar. Yash Raj Films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Yash Chopra and Aditya Chopra. Fanaa is written by Shibani Bathija and Kunal Kohli and it is directed by Kunal Kohli. Yash Raj Films acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Fanaa was released on 26th May 2006 and takes a screen time of 169 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Fanaa was made on a budget of ₹30 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹51 crore. Cinematography was done by Ravi K. Chandran and editing by Ritesh Soni. The music was composed by Jatin Pandit along with Lalit Pandit, Jatin-lalit and Salim-sulaiman. At the 2007 IIFA Awards It won 2 awards including: Best Lyricist and Best Playback Singer - Male.
