Sawar re.! portrays the struggles of two sisters in a rural Indian village as they fight against societal norms and family opposition to achieve their dreams and advocate for education and individual rights. Sawar Re is a 2008 Indian Marathi-language Drama film starring Gopichand, Kamna Jethmalani, Mukta Barve, Devika Daftardar, Vandana Gupte, Kamlesh Sawant and Madhu Kambikar. Eetharam Films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Pokuri Babu Rao. Sawar Re is written by Gajendra Ahire and Marudhuri Raja and it is directed by Gajendra Ahire and Amma Rajasekhar. TriStar Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film. Sawar Re was released on 7th April 2008 and takes a screen time of 145 minutes. Sawar Re was made on a budget of ₹6 crore and at the box office it grossed only $42 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Amma Rajasekhar. Cinematography was done by Ch. Ramana Raju and editing by Gautham Raju. The music was composed by Mani Sharma.
