A struggling writer finds creative inspiration and blossoming love through a chance phone conversation with a mysterious woman while living in his friends palatial house. Antareen is a 1993 Indian Bengali-language Drama film starring Anjan Dutt, Dimple Kapadia and Tathagata Sanyal. The movie is inspired from Baadsahat ka Khatma. Entertainment One in association with Sony Pictures Television, Paramount Pictures, Lukas Reiter Productions, AXN Original Productions and Shaw Media. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Nfdc and Doordarshan. Antareen is written by Saadat Hassan Manto, Mrinal Sen, Shashi Anand and Saadat Hasan Manto and it is directed by Mrinal Sen. Entertainment One International acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Antareen was released on 1st January 1993 and takes a screen time of 91 minutes. Cinematography was done by Sashi Anand. The music was composed by Shashi Anand along with Sashi Anand.
