The Reaping

A woman named Katherine, alongside her colleague Ben, investigates supposed miracles in Chile, but soon realizes that the miracles are actually caused by toxic waste; later, she is asked by a friend to investigate a biblical plague caused by a girl named Loren, leading Katherine to encounter satanic worship and sacrifice, ultimately discovering that she is pregnant with her second child, fathered by a man who is believed to be the prophesied demonic child. The Reaping is a 2007 American English-language Horror Thriller motion picture featuring Hilary Swank, David Morrissey, Idris Elba, Annasophia Robb, Stephen Rea, William Ragsdale and Tyger Morgan. Village Roadshow Pictures in association with Dark Castle Entertainment. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Richard Mirisch, Herb Gains, Susan Downey, Joel Silver and Robert Zemeckis. The Reaping is written by Carey Hayes, Chad Hayes and Brian Rousso and it is directed by Stephen Hopkins. Warner Bros. Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. The Reaping was released on 5th April 2007 and takes a screen time of 99 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. The Reaping was made on a budget of $40 million and it was a hit at box office gross of $62 million. Cinematography was done by Peter Levy and editing by Colby Parker Jr. and Tod Feuerman. The music was composed by John Frizzell.
