A whimsical tale about a kingdom ruled by a tyrannical king, his overthrow, the rise of a new oppressive king, and the love story of a shepherdess and a chimney sweep amidst a struggle against tyranny. The King and the Mockingbird is a 1980 English-language Animation Family film featuring Jean Martin, Pascal Mazzotti, Raymond Bussi Res, Agn S Viala, Raymond Bussières, Agnès Viala and Derek Suthern. The movie is inspired from The Shepherdess and the Chimney Sweep by Hans Christian Andersen. The King and the Mockingbird was Produced by Robert Dorfmann. The movie is directed by Paul Grimault. Gaumont acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture.
