Le Big Boss Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) William Shatner, J. Craig Thompson, David Zappone and Kevin Layne. The motion picture is written and directed by William Shatner. Movie Central acquired the distribution rights for the film. The Captains was released on 22nd July 2011 and takes a screen time of 96 minutes. The movie made a box office gross of $416 million. Cinematography was done by Decebal Dascau and editing by Decebal Dascau. The music was composed by Andy Milne.
