Ranja

During a trip to meet a government official about addressing pollution in their village, Ranja, Vihangi, and her mother encounter a dangerous gangster and her brother, resulting in a confrontation and escalating tensions. Ranja is a 2014 Sinhala-language Action film featuring Ranjan Ramanayake, Tennyson Cooray, Himali Siriwardena, Srimal Wedisinghe, Piyumi Botheju, Rex Kodippili and Nipuni Wilson. The movie is based on 2003 Tamil film Dhool by Dharani. Fine Vision was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Sunil T. Films. Ranja is written by Sudesh Wasantha Pieris and directed by Sudesh Wasantha Peiris. M.P.I Films acquired the distribution rights for the film. Ranja was released on 28th May 2014. The movie made a box office gross of ₹6 crore. Cinematography was done by Gamini Moragollagama and editing by Kumarasiri de Silva. The music was composed by Keshan Perera along with Ayomi Perera.
