Poovarasan

A man seeks advice from an astrologer, leading to a series of events where a baby is sacrificed, two families agree to a marriage that is later called off, and ultimately a man sacrifices his own life to save another family. Poovarasan is a 1996 Indian Tamil-language motion picture featuring Rachana Banerjee, Vijayakumar, Sujatha, Radha Ravi, Goundamani, Senthil and Karthik Muthuraman. Taj International was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) M Gafar. The motion picture is written and directed by Gokula Krishnan. Taj International acquired the distribution rights for the film. Poovarasan was released on 7th March 1996 and takes a screen time of 140 minutes. The screenplay for the movie was written by Gokula Krishnan. Cinematography was done by Jayanan Vincent and editing by K R Gowri Shankar and T R Sekar. The music was composed by Ilaiyaraaja.
