An elderly man divides his kingdom based on his daughters declarations of love, leading to deceit and mistreatment from the elder daughters and resulting in the disowning of the youngest daughter in an adaptation of Shakespeares King Lear. King Lear is a 1916 American English-language Drama motion picture starring Frederick Warde, Lorraine Huling, Wayne Arey, J.h. Gilmour, Hector Dion, Ernest C. Warde and Henry Ardsley. Thanhouser Company was the production house involved in the project. King Lear is written by Philip Lonergan and directed by Ernest C. Warde. Path Exchange acquired the distribution rights for the movie. King Lear was released on 17th December 1916 and takes a screen time of 63 minutes. The movie made a box office gross of $0 million.
