A lazy college student named Sid Mehra discovers his passion for photography with the help of his friend Aisha, leading to personal growth, professional success, and a blossoming romance between them. Wake Up Sid is written by Ayan Mukherjee, Niranjan Iyengar and Ayan Mukerji and it is directed by Ayan Mukherjee and Ayan Mukerji. UTV Motion Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film. Wake Up Sid was released on 2nd October 2009 and takes a screen time of 138 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Wake Up Sid was made on a budget of ₹18 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹27 crore. Cinematography was done by Anil Mehta and editing by Shan Mohammed. The music was composed by Filmfare Award winner Amit Trivedi along with Ehsaan Noorani, Loy Mendonsa, Shankar Mahadevan and Shankar Ehsaan Loy. At the 2010 IIFA Awards It won an award for Best Playback Singer - Female.
