Thorson, Ed Burns, Joe Chappelle, George Pelecanos and Eric Overmyer. Series originally aired on HBO. Warner Bros. Television Distribution acquired the distribution rights for the series. Creator of the series is David Simon. The Wire has 5 seasons and a cumulative total of 60 episodes which have a running time of 55-60 minutes,93 minutes each. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released. The music was composed by Tom Waits.
