A middle-aged Mary Ann returns to San Francisco and reconnects with her unique group of friends at 28 Barbary Lane, forming a logical family where they support each other while Mrs. Madrigals transgender identity is no longer a secret, but Mary Ann carries a hidden burden from her past after leaving her daughter and ex-husband behind to pursue her career for twenty years, and now escaping her midlife crisis in Connecticut, she explores the lives and experiences of the vibrant community at 28 Barbary Lane. Tales of the City is a 2019 American English-language Drama series starring Laura Linney, Ellen Page, Paul Gross, Murray Bartlett, Charlie Barnett, Garcia and Bob Johnson. The series is inspired from Tales of the City by Armistead Maupin. Sweatpants Productions in association with Working Title Television, Universal Television and NBCUniversal International. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Gail Barringer. Series originally aired on Netflix in English. Creator of the series is Lauren Morelli. The show has a running time of 46-60 minutes for each episode. Cinematography was done by Federico Cesca and editing by Andy Keir, Allyson C. Johnson and Aaron Kuhn. The music was composed by Jay Wadley.
