A lounge singer who witnesses her boyfriends criminal activity and is placed in witness protection finds a new purpose revitalizing a convents choir and community, but her location is compromised, and she must be rescued from her dangerous boyfriend. Sister Act is a 1992 American English-language Comedy Crime film starring Whoopi Goldberg, Maggie Smith, Kathy Najimy, Wendy Makkena, Mary Wickes, Harvey Keitel and Stephen Douglas Butler. Perkins Street Productions in association with NBC Studios. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Teri Schwartz. Sister Act is written by Paul Rudnick and directed by Emile Ardolino. Buena Vista Pictures Distribution acquired the distribution rights for the film. Sister Act was released on 29th May 1992 and takes a screen time of 100 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Sister Act was made on a budget of $31 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $231 million. Cinematography was done by Adam Greenberg and editing by Colleen Halsey and Richard Halsey. The music was composed by Marc Shaiman.
