Sherlock is a modern-day adaptation of classic detective stories featuring the brilliant detective Holmes and his partner Watson as they solve mysteries in London, gaining the trust of the police and becoming celebrities while facing their archenemy Moriarty. Sherlock is a 2010 English-language Crime Drama television series featuring Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman, Rupert Graves, Una Stubbs, Mark Gatiss, Louise Brealey and Alistair Petrie. The series is based on Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Hartswood Films in association with BBC Wales and WGBH. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Sue Vertue and Elaine Cameron. Buena Vista International Television acquired the distribution rights for the television show. Creators of the series include Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat. Sherlock has 2 seasons and a cumulative total of 13 episodes which have a running time of 85-90 minutes each. Sherlock was released on 5th February 2010 and takes a screen time of 85-90 minutes for each episode. Cinematography was done by Fabian Wagner and Steve Lawes. The music was composed by David Arnold along with Michael Price.
