Harlots

Two women run brothels in 1763 London, but face opposition from religious groups and police, and Margaret Wells move to improve her business sets her at odds with her rival, Lydia Quigley. Harlots is a 2017 English-language Drama series featuring Samantha Morton, Lesley Manville, Jessica Brown Findlay, Dorothy Atkinson, Pippa Bennett-warner, Kate Fleetwood and Kirsty J. Curtis. The series is based on The Covent Garden Ladies by Hallie Rubenhold. Monumental Pictures was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Elizabeth Binns, Alison Carpenter and Lawrence Till. Series originally aired on ITV Encore. Creators of the series include Alison Newman and Moira Buffini. The television series has a running time of 44-50 minutes for each episode. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released. Cinematography was done by Simon Archer, Hubert Taczanowski and Ollie Downey. The music was composed by Rael Jones.
