In 1886 Vienna, a young neurologist named Sigmund Freud becomes embroiled in a criminal case that reveals a larger conspiracy, facing opposition from colleagues and the director of his psychiatric hospital as he delves into hypnotherapy and encounters a Hungarian medium at a party, leading him to navigate a web of murders, conspiracies, and supernatural occurrences with the aid of his housekeeper and a haunted police inspector. Freud is a 2020 German-language Crime television series starring Robert Finster, Ella Rumpf, Georg Friedrich, Stefan Konarske, Christoph F. Krutzler, Brigitte Kren and Karel Hermánek Jr. Bavaria Fiction in association with Satel Film and Mia Film. were the production houses involved in the project. Creators of the series include Marvin Kren, Stefan Brunner and Benjamin Hessler. The television show has a running time of 45-55 minutes for each episode.
