Star Wars fanatics take a cross-country trip to George Lucas Skywalker Ranch so their dying friend can a screening of Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999) before its release. Fanboys is a 2009 American English-language Adventure Comedy motion picture featuring Jay Baruchel, Dan Fogler, Sam Huntington, Chris Marquette, Kristen Bell, David Denman and Gary Sievers. Trigger Street Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Evan Astrowsky, Dana Brunetti, Matthew Pernicaro, Kevin Spacey and Kevin Mann. Fanboys is written by Ernest Cline, Adam F. Goldberg and Dan Pulick and it is directed by Kyle Newman. The Weinstein Company acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Fanboys was released on 13th February 2009 and takes a screen time of 90 minutes. Fanboys was made on a budget of $3 million and at the box office it grossed only $0 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Ernest Cline and Adam F. Goldberg. Cinematography was done by Lukas Ettlin and editing by James Thomas and Seth Flaum. The music was composed by Mark Mothersbaugh.
