Egaro - The Eleven

Egaro is a celluloid tribute to the inspiring victory of the Mohun Bagan football team against a better-resourced British team, highlighting the patriotic passion of Indians in fighting against imperial rule and also delving into the underground revolution following the Partition of Bengal, incorporating personal and family hurdles, and ultimately resulting in victory aided by a fair referee and a compassionate injured British player. Egaro - The Eleven is a 2011 Indian Bengali-language History motion picture starring Monu Mukherjee, Shankar Chakraborty, Rajat Ganguly, Biswajit Chakraborty, Tulika Basu, Debaparna Chakraborty and Tarun Patra. EMVE Studios was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Magic Hour Entertainment. The movie is directed by Arun Roy. Cinematography was done by Gopi Bhagat and editing by Sanglap Bhowmik & Shyamal Karmakar. The music was composed by Mayukh-moinak.
