The series is based on Dietland by Sarai Walker. Skydance Television in association with AMC Studios, Mockingbird Pictures and Tiny Pyro. were the production houses involved in the project. AMC Networks acquired the distribution rights for the television show. Creator of the series is Marti Noxon. Dietland has only one season and a cumulative total of 10 episodes.
