A group of women who have all been raped and murdered bond together to escape a life of abuse and fear, culminating in a message advocating for the protection of women in India. Devi is a 2020 Indian Hindi-language Drama Thriller television show starring Rati Pandey, Tarun Khanna, Kajol Devgn, Shruti Haasan, Neha Dhupia, Mukta Barve and Shaurya Dutt. The series is inspired from Devi Mahatmya Devi-Bhagavata Purana Shiva Purana Srimad Bhagavatha Purana. Swastik Productions was the production house involved in the project. The series is directed by Loknath Pandey and Manish Singh. Series originally aired on Dangal TV. Creator of the series is Siddharth Kumar Tewary. Devi has only one season and a cumulative total of 95 episodes which have a running time of 22-25 minutes each. Devi was released on 7th October 2016 and takes a screen time of 22-25 minutes for each episode. The screenplay for the series was written by Megha Jadhav.
