The series is inspired from Characters from Psycho by Robert Bloch. American Genre in association with Carlton Cuse Productions , Cuse Productions , Kerry Ehrin Productions and Universal Television. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Justis Greene, Steve Kornacki, Alyson Evans, Scott Kosar, Erica Lipez, Christopher Nelson, Tim Southam, Jamie Kaye Wheeler and Cory Bird. Series originally aired on A&E. A&E Networks acquired the distribution rights for the show. Creators of the series include Carlton Cuse, Kerry Ehrin and Anthony Cipriano.
