Zanjeer

A honest police officer pursues corrupt underworld figures and solves a murder case while seeking revenge for his parents killing. Zanjeer is a 2013 Indian Hindi-language Action Thriller film featuring Ram Charan, Priyanka Chopra, Sanjay Dutt, Ram Charan Teja, Prakash Raj, Atul Kulkarni and Braj Kishore Tiwari. The movie is based on Zanjeer by Salim Javed. Prakash Mehra Productions in association with Flying Turtle Films. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Reliance Entertainment, Puneet Prakash Mehra, Sumeet Prakash Mehra and Flying Turtle Films. Zanjeer is written by Salim Khan, Javed Akhtar, Apoorva Lakhia, Chintan Gandhi and Suresh Nair and it is directed by Apoorva Lakhia. Reliance Entertainment acquired the distribution rights for the film. Zanjeer was released on 5th September 2013 and takes a screen time of 138 minutes. Zanjeer was made on a budget of ₹60 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹13 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Suresh Nair and Apoorva Lakhia. Cinematography was done by Gururaj R. Jois and editing by Chin2 Singh. The music was composed by Anand Raj Anand along with Amar Mohile and Gaurang Soni.
