After a well-known actor dies in a car accident and ₹2 million goes missing, Senior Police Inspector Surjan Suri Singh Shekhawat leads an investigation that ultimately leads to the discovery of more secrets and a reconciliation with his wife. Excel Entertainment in association with Aamir Khan Productions. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Ritesh Sidhwani, Aamir Khan and Farhan Akhtar. Zakhmi is written by Anurag Kashyap and Farhan Akhtar and it is directed by Reema Kagti. Reliance Entertainment acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Zakhmi was released on 7th February 2020 and takes a screen time of 139 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Zakhmi was made on a budget of ₹50 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹174 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar.
