Yuva is a movie about a goon who is manipulated by a politician to kidnap students involved in college elections, but they eventually win the elections after overcoming many obstacles. Yuva is a 2004 Indian Hindi-language Action Adventure movie featuring Abhishek Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Vivek Oberoi, Rani Mukerji, Kareena Kapoor, Esha Deol and Simran. Yuva was Produced by Sreenivasan, Mani Ratnam, Shekhar Kapoor and G. Srinivasan. Yuva is written by Anurag Kashyap and Mani Ratnam and it is directed by Mani Ratnam. Madras Talkies acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Yuva was released on 21st May 2004 and takes a screen time of 162 minutes. Yuva was made on a budget of ₹12 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹14 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Mani Ratnam. Cinematography was done by Ravi K. Chandran and editing by A. Sreekar Prasad. The music was composed by Ar Rahman along with A. R. Rahman. At the 2005 IIFA Awards It won an award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Abhishek Bachchan). At the 2005 Filmfare Awards It also won an award for Best Actor - Critics (Abhishek Bachchan).
