On his wedding day, Shivas bride-to-be runs away, so he moves to Chennai with her brother to find work, where he rescues a girl named Sandhya and falls in love with her, but she rejects him and gets engaged to someone else, but then Shiva finds his runaway bride and convinces their family to forgive her, while Sandhya realizes her love for Shiva but her father refuses to cancel her wedding, so she runs away to find him and confesses her love, leading to a plan where Shiva switches places with her fiancé and marries her, exposing his betrayal. Youth is a 2001 Indian Telugu-language Drama film starring Vijay, Shaheen Khan, Vivek, Vijayakumar, Manivannan, Yugendran and Vikram. The movie is based on Chiru Navvuto. Lakshmi Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) T. Ramu Kannan. Youth is written by Prasanna Kumar and directed by Vincent Selva. Lakshmi Productions acquired the distribution rights for the film. Youth was released on 9th March 2001 and takes a screen time of 170 minutes. Cinematography was done by Natarajan Subramaniam and editing by V. T. Vijayan. The music was composed by Mani Sharma.
