Mavis Gary, a divorced and alcoholic ghostwriter, goes back to her hometown after receiving an email that sparks the belief she should be with her high school boyfriend, but her plan is ultimately rejected, causing her to have a breakdown and come to the realization that she needs to change and embrace her own potential for growth. Young Adult is a 2011 American English-language Comedy Drama film featuring Charlize Theron, Patton Oswalt, Patrick Wilson, Elizabeth Reaser, Collette Wolfe, Jill Eikenberry and Brent Latchaw. Banner Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Lianne Halfon, Russell Smith, Diablo Cody, Mason Novick and Jason Reitman. Young Adult is written by Diablo Cody and directed by Jason Reitman. Paramount Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film. Young Adult was released on 16th December 2011 and takes a screen time of 94 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Young Adult was made on a budget of $12 million and it was a hit at box office gross of $22 million. Cinematography was done by Eric Steelberg and editing by Dana E. Glauberman. The music was composed by Rolfe Kent.
