Yongary, Monster from the Deep

A South Korean sci-fi movie follows a family gathering for a wedding of an astronaut who had to leave to monitor a nuclear test in the Middle East, triggering an earthquake that releases a giant creature called Yongary, causing destruction in Seoul. Yongary, Monster from the Deep is a 1967 Korean-language Action Adventure film featuring Oh Yeong-il, Nam Jeong-im, Yeong-il Oh, Jeong-im Nam, Soon-jae Lee, Moon Kang and Cho Kyoung-min. Keukdong Entertainment Company in association with Toei. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Cha Tae-jin. Yongary, Monster from the Deep is written by Kim Ki-duk and Seo Yun-sung and it is directed by Kim Ki-duk. Toei acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture.
