After forming a strong friendship in prison, Teapot and his friends unwittingly become involved in a criminal scheme involving counterfeit money, leading to chaos and ultimately their heroic capture of the criminals. Golden Harvest acquired the distribution rights for the film. Winners and sinners was released on 7th July 1983 and takes a screen time of 101 minutes. The motion picture made a box office gross of $21 million. Cinematography was done by Ricky Lau and editing by Peter Cheung. The music was composed by Frankie Chan along with Chris Babida.
