Sixteen year-old Nisha lives a double life. At home with her family she is the perfect Pakistani daughter, but when out with her friends, she is a normal Norwegian teenager. When her father catches her in bed with her boyfriend, Nisha s two worlds brutally collide. To set an example, Nisha s parents decide to kidnap her and place her with relatives in Pakistan. Here, in a country she has never been to before, Nisha is forced to adapt to her parents culture. What Will People Say is a 2017 Norwegian-language Drama motion picture starring Maria Mozhdah, Adil Hussain, Ekavali Khanna, Rohit Saraf, Ali Arfan, Sheeba Chaddha and Trine Wiggen. Mer Film in association with Rohfilm Factory GmbH and Zentropa Sweden. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Maria Ekerhovd. The movie is written and directed by Iram Haq. What Will People Say was released on 6th October 2017 in Norwegian and Urdu languages and takes a screen time of 106 minutes. Cinematography was done by Nadim Carlsen and editing by Janus Billeskov Jansen and Anne sterud. The music was composed by Lorenz Dangel along with Martin Pedersen.
