A Hollywood producer named Ben faces challenges with his film, Fiercely, including a disastrous test screening and a studio executive threatening to cancel its Cannes premiere unless the controversial ending involving the murder of the main characters dog is removed; in the meantime, Ben discovers his wifes affair and deals with other setbacks, eventually leading to his marginalization in a photo-shoot following the Cannes debacle.
