Warriors of Heaven and Earth

A Chinese emissary is sent to the Gobi desert to execute a renegade soldier. When a caravan transporting a Buddhist monk and a valuable treasure is threatened by thieves, however, the two warriors might unite to protect the travelers. Warriors of Heaven and Earth is a 2003 Chinese Mandarin-language Action Adventure movie featuring Jiang Wen, Kiichi Nakai, Wang Xueqi, Zhao Wei, Hasi Bagen, Xueqi Wang and Harrison Liu. Columbia Pictures Film Production Asia Limited was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Song Dai, Wang Zhonglei, Chen Kuo-fu, Rita Fung, Hou Shengjun, Zhou Fengying and Yang Ge. Warriors of Heaven and Earth is written by Richard Epcar, Ping He, Rui Zhang, He Ping and Zhang Rui and it is directed by Ping He and He Ping. Sony Pictures Classics acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Warriors of Heaven and Earth was released on 23rd September 2003 and takes a screen time of 114 minutes. The movie made a box office gross of $6 million. Cinematography was done by Zhao Fei, Zheng Hua and Wang Min and editing by Kong Jinlei. The music was composed by A. R. Rahman.
