War of the Worlds

In a post-apocalyptic world, Ray Ferrier reunites with his estranged children and embarks on a perilous journey to find safety amidst attacks by colossal war machines and the cultivation of dangerous vegetation by extraterrestrials who ultimately meet their demise from Earths microbes. War of the Worlds is a 2005 American English-language Adventure Sci-Fi motion picture starring Tom Cruise, Dakota Fanning, Miranda Otto, Tim Robbins, C. Thomas Howell, Rhett Giles and Gogo Toucette. The movie is based on The War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells. Amblin Entertainment in association with Cruise/Wagner Productions. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Colin Wilson and Kathleen Kennedy. War of the Worlds is written by Josh Friedman, David Koepp and H.g. Wells and it is directed by Steven Spielberg. Paramount Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film. War of the Worlds was released on 1st July 2005 and takes a screen time of 116 minutes. War of the Worlds was made on a budget of $132 million and at the box office it grossed only $50 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Josh Friedman and David Koepp. Cinematography was done by Janusz Kami ski and editing by Michael Kahn. The music was composed by Academy Award Oscar winner John Williams.
