Bing Crosby Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Mort Briskin. Walking Tall is written by Mort Briskin, Stephen Downing and John Michael Hayes and it is directed by Phil Karlson. Cinerama Releasing Corporation acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Walking Tall was released on 22nd February 1973 and takes a screen time of 125 minutes. Walking Tall was made on a budget of $46 million and it was a hit at box office gross of $57 million. Cinematography was done by Jack A. Marta and editing by Harry W. Gerstad. The music was composed by Walter Scharf.
