Villu is written by Sachin Bhowmick, Shyam Goel, Prabhu Dheva, Ac Mugil and Rebel Ravi and it is directed by Prabhu Dheva and Prabhu Deva. Ayngaran International acquired the distribution rights for the film. Villu was released on 12th January 2009 and takes a screen time of 152 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Villu was made on a budget of ₹30 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹50 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Prabhu Deva.
