Gopal, starring Akkineni Nagarjuna and Vijayashanti, with Nagarjuna in a powerful role, and tells the story of a college student falling in love with his classmate while becoming unwittingly involved in a gang of criminals. Vijay is a 1989 Indian Telugu-language Drama Action motion picture starring Nagarjuna Akkineni, Vijayashanti Prasad, Kongara Jaggaiah, Jayasudha, Mohan Babu Manchu, Allu Ramalingaiah and Vijaya Y. Annapurna Studios was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Akkineni Venkat. Vijay is written by Gopalakrishna Paruchuri and Venkateswara Rao Paruchuri and it is directed by B. Gopal. Vijay was released on 19th January 1989. The screenplay for the movie was written by B. Gopal. Cinematography was done by S. Gopal Reddy and editing by K. A. Marthand. The music was composed by Chakravarthy.
