In early twentieth-century British India, the Pindari leader Prithvi Singh narrates his story to a reporter from the London Times.. Veer is a 2010 Indian Hindi-language Action Adventure film featuring Salman Khan, Zareen Khan, Mithun Chakraborty, Jackie Shroff, Sohail Khan, Zarine Khan and Rishabh Jain. The movie is based on Taras Bulba by Nikolai Gogol. Eros Entertainment was the production house involved in the project. Veer is written by Shailesh Verma, Shaktimaan Talwar, Salman Khan and Pit Kuhlmann and it is directed by Anil Sharma. Eros Entertainment acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Veer was released on 22nd January 2010 and takes a screen time of 164 minutes. Veer was made on a budget of ₹1 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹1 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Shailash Verma and Shaktimaan Talwar. Editing was done by Ashfaque Makrani. The music was composed by Wajid Ali along with Sajid-wajid.
