The movie tells the story of Veer Pratap Singh, who wants to lead a movement against the British to free India from colonial rule and faces opposition from the King of Madhavgarh, while falling in love with the Kings daughter and vowing to avenge his son. Veer is a 2010 Indian Hindi-language Action Adventure movie featuring Salman Khan, Mithun Chakraborty, Jackie Shroff, Zareen Khan, Sohail Khan, Zarine Khan and Ajay Kalyansingh. The movie is inspired from Taras Bulba by Nikolai Gogol. Eros Entertainment was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Vijay Galani. Veer is written by Shailesh Verma, Shaktimaan Talwar, Salman Khan and Pit Kuhlmann and it is directed by Anil Sharma. Eros International acquired the distribution rights for the film. Veer was released on 22nd January 2010 and takes a screen time of 164 minutes. Veer was made on a budget of ₹1 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹1 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Shailash Verma and Shaktimaan Talwar. Cinematography was done by Gopal Shah and editing by Ashfaque Makrani. The music was composed by IIFA Award winner Wajid Ali along with Monty Sharma and Sajid Wajid.
