Vastupurush

Bhaskar Deshpande, a preventive medicine worker and Ramon Magsaysay Award winner, reflects on his familys history and struggles, including his fathers fight against corruption, his uncles search for hidden treasure, his brothers forbidden love due to caste differences, and his mothers belief in breaking the curse of mistreating lower castes, as he works towards building a hospital in his village with the support of Krishna, Sopana, and Kalyani.
