MTV Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Brian Robbins, Michael Tollin and Tova Laiter. Varsity Blues is written by W. Peter Iliff and directed by Brian Robbins. Paramount Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Varsity Blues was released on 9th September 1999 and takes a screen time of 106 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Varsity Blues was made on a budget of $16 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $54 million. Cinematography was done by Chuck Cohen and editing by Ned Bastille. The music was composed by Mark Isham.
