Varathan

A couple returns to Kerala from Dubai to stay in Priyas childhood home, but their peaceful stay is disrupted by suspicious contractors, ogling villagers, and a traumatic event that leaves Priya feeling unsafe until they take matters into their own hands. Varathan is a 2018 Indian Malayalam-language Thriller Drama film featuring Fahadh Faasil, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sharafudheen, Arjun Asokan, Vijilesh, Dileesh Pothan and Roshan Chandra. Fahadh Faasil and Friends in association with Amal Neerad Productions. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Amal Neerad and Nazriya Nazim. The movie is directed by Amal Neerad. A & A Release acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Varathan was released on 20th September 2018 and takes a screen time of 125 minutes. The movie made a box office gross of ₹33 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Suhas-Sharfu. Cinematography was done by Littil Swayamp and editing by Vivek Harshan. The music was composed by Sushin Shyam. At the 2019 It won an award for Best Actress (Aishwarya Lekshmi).
