The Vangaveeti brothers were involved in violent politics and gang warfare in Vijayawada, which led to murder, power struggles, and attacks among rival groups. Vangaveeti is a 2016 Indian Telugu-language Action Biography movie starring Sandeep Kumar, Vamsi Nakkanti, Vamsi Chaganti, Naina Ganguly, Kautilya, Shritej and Rama Rao Jadhav. Bad-Cow films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Dasari Kiran Kumar. The movie is written and directed by Ram Gopal Varma. Ramadutha Creations acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Vangaveeti was released on 22nd December 2016 and takes a screen time of 139 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Vangaveeti was made on a budget of ₹8 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹12 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Ram Gopal Varma. Cinematography was done by Rahul Srivastav, K. Dilip Varma and Surya Chowdhary and editing by Siddhartha Thatholu. The music was composed by Ravi Shankar.
