Zee Studios acquired the distribution rights for the film. Valimai was released on 24th February 2022 and takes a screen time of 179 minutes. Valimai was made on a budget of ₹150 crore. Cinematography was done by Nirav Shah and editing by Vijay Velukutty. The music was composed by Ghibran along with Yuvan Shankar Raja.
