A smuggler is searching for stolen diamonds while two ex-convicts and a businessmans son try to find them, leading to a revelation about the businessmans family and the eventual arrest of the smuggler. Vairam is a 1974 Indian Tamil-language Drama motion picture starring Jaishankar, Jayalalithaa, J Jayalalitha and Sreekanth. The movie is inspired from Victoria No. 203 by K. A. Narayan. Vijaya-Suri Combines was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) S. P. Laxmanan, M. Suriyanarayanan, S. S. Pazhaniyappan and M. N. Arunachalam. The movie is directed by Tr Ramanna and T. R. Ramanna. Vijaya-Suri Combines acquired the distribution rights for the film. Vairam was released on 1st January 1974 and takes a screen time of 148 minutes. The screenplay for the movie was written by T. N. Balu. Cinematography was done by Amirtham and editing by M. S. Mani. The music was composed by T. R. Pappa.
