Uphaar

After being forced to marry Minoo, Anoop leaves her due to her immaturity and lack of household skills, but they ultimately reconcile when she seeks him out in Calcutta. Uphaar is a 1971 Indian Hindi-language Family Drama film starring Jaya Bhaduri, Kamini Kaushal, Swarup Dutta, Suresh Chatwal, Nandita Thakur, Nana Palsikar and Yunus Parvez. The movie is based on Samapti a short story by Rabindranath Tagore. Hallmark Hall of Fame was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Tarachand Barjatya. Uphaar is written by Rabindranath Tagore and directed by Sudhendu Roy. Columbia Pictures Television acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Uphaar was released on 23rd May 1980. The music was composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal.
